Medical Benefits

The Medical Trust makes three types of plans1 available to Episcopal institutions that they, in turn, can offer to eligible individuals and their eligible dependents:

These plans provide medical, prescription, vision, behavioral health, and hearing benefits plus additional services like telehealth, travel assistance, and an employee assistance program (EAP).

Pharmacy Benefits

The prescription benefits included in our health plans provide significant savings.

Anthem and Cigna Network Plans

Members enrolled in a medical plan that uses the Anthem or Cigna network can fill medications at retail pharmacies that participate in the Express Scripts network and through Express Scripts’ home delivery service, which allows 90-day refills of maintenance medications.

To learn more, consult the Anthem and Cigna Plan Document Handbooks. For pricing information, to access the formulary, and to find a participating retail pharmacy, call Quantum at (866) 871-0629.

Kaiser Network Plans

Kaiser provides Rx benefits to members enrolled in Kaiser health plans. Details are available at kp.org.

Behavioral Health

Our health plans also include benefits for behavioral health and substance use disorder plus an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for members in plans that use the Anthem, Cigna, and Kaiser plans.

The EAP is a free and confidential 24/7 service that provides immediate assistance, referrals, and online resources for a range of emotional, family, financial, and legal issues.

It also offers access to Talkspace, a platform that connects individuals 13 and older with licensed therapists and psychiatrists via video or text.

Access These Services

Members in the Anthem and Cigna networks should call Quantum at (866) 871-0629, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 10:00 PM ET. After hours, they should call (866) 395-7794.

Members in Kaiser’s network can call (866) 395-7794, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

1 Some plans may not be available in all locations or to all groups. Consult your Benefits Relationship Manager with any questions.
